First-order promotion for new accounts
DoorDash runs standing discounts on first orders for new accounts — the current offer shows during sign-up and applies automatically or via the presented code.
Almost every DoorDash promo is new-customer or DashPass-gated. Here's what's actually available on an existing account, and how the fees really stack.

DashPass removes delivery fees and reduces service fees on eligible orders — the fee savings typically cover the subscription within a few orders a month.
DoorDash's own promotion terms include a line worth knowing: on many offers you must select the promo from your wallet to redeem it. The discounts attached to your account are already sitting there. Checking the wallet takes a few seconds and tells you what you can actually use, which is more than any external code list can do — because eligibility is decided per account, not per code.
The app's Offers tab aggregates restaurant-funded deals (spend thresholds, percentage-off, item deals) that don't need external codes.

Most circulating codes are targeted to specific accounts (win-back offers for lapsed users, regional tests) and fail for everyone else.
If you've lapsed, simply not ordering for a few weeks often triggers a genuine win-back offer by email or notification — better than any recycled code.
Because most DoorDash codes are targeted at specific accounts and limited to one redemption per person. DoorDash's terms state that some offers are only available to customers who receive the invitation directly, and the usual error is a flat “your account is not eligible for this promotion”.
The clearest illustration comes from deal forums, where two people comparing notes on one thread turn out to hold different codes: one on a DashPass account had 60% off up to $20, another without DashPass had 50% off up to $15. Same promotion, different codes, neither transferable.
So a genuine report that a code worked is not evidence it will work for you — it is usually evidence it was issued to that person. That is why we don't publish user-reported DoorDash codes. Check your own promo wallet and the Offers tab instead.
Order twice or more per month from eligible restaurants and the removed delivery fees plus reduced service fees usually cover the cost.
Occasional users do better cherry-picking the Offers tab and pickup options instead.
Pickup orders skip delivery and most service fees entirely, and the app's restaurant offers often apply to pickup too.
Fee-inclusive price comparison against rival apps for the same restaurant varies more than people expect — the same meal can differ by several dollars.
Four things, all from DoorDash's published terms. Minimum subtotals exclude taxes and fees, so a $12 minimum means $12 of food. Discounts are capped in dollars — a headline 50% off is often “up to $10”, which caps out fast. Alcohol is excluded. And promotions are non-transferable with no cash value.
Broad sitewide codes also carry merchant exclusions. A past 13% off promotion, published on DoorDash's own X account, was delivery-only and excluded Chick-fil-A, Sephora, At Home, Party City and Pet Food Express. Expect any sitewide code to come with a list like that.
DoorDash pricing is a stack of item markups and fees, so real savings come from restructuring fees (DashPass, pickup) and restaurant-funded offers rather than external codes.
We explain the mechanics rather than listing targeted codes that won't apply to your account.
